and hey! here comes that rainy day again
i've been trying to be busy . . . at least, not sitting around. i'm doing fairly well. been hanging out with charles and brian a lot. we recently watched
strange brew, which i found amusing, and
fear and loathing in las vegas, which scared me. today robin and i went blackberry picking on the bike path on the way to springfield. it was fun. i got pretty beat up, because i (foolishly) wore shorts. but we got lots of yummy berries, so it was good. also, i went to the gym! yay! now my arms are sore. i have decided to start a new routine involving eating breakfast in the morning and then going to the gym and then getting stuff done. the problem is i don't have that much stuff to do. but now i can start packing to move, and getting rid of some of my Stuff, so i will do that, i think.
i got an email from shan!! she's alive! yay!
i've been on duty since last sunday and i'll be on through monday night. then i get two days off, and then i'm back on for another four days. yippee. chris is coming to see me this weekend but i can't go anywhere. =P
oh well. brian's taking me to jerry's now to get cinder blocks. yay.
though i try to hide it, it's clear
this stupid thing (
blogger) overwrote all my old updates. this makes me angry.
and sad, because there were ones in there where i was happy, and i wanted to remember that.
it's finished now. for reals this time.
what i want and what needs to happen are two different things. unfortunately, i lost in favor of necessity.
i might as well resign myself to try and make a change
getting back from reno was kind of an ordeal. one plane was late, which made my plane late, which made me miss my connection in SFO, which made them put me on the next flight out, 3 hours later, which was also late. i spent basically about 10 hours trying to get from reno to eugene. but i read some of the books for my lit class this fall, and i got free dinner at SFO, so it was all ok. =)
yesterday i went to vicki's wedding in roseburg! it was fun. i got to see vicki, of course, and jen and veronica, hooray!, and chris, who went with me. we had a good time. the wedding was a little (a lot) different from how i'd like mine to be, but that's ok, of course. it just fostered lots of discussion about what our respective weddings are going to be like. chris is apparently wearing a dress and his colors are going to be avocado and orange. i told him i would not be attending.
last night bill and i went for a walk. i'm very thinkful lately. and then i stayed up way too late. but arlie woke me up this morning, YAY! that means he's home! at least back in oregon! we were slightly concerned for his wellbeing, but he's alive, so that's good. =) and . . . oh. today robin and i are going to see willie nelson at the lane county fair! hooray! but for now i'd better go eat lunch before they close.
